Nader Is Back (And don’t tell me he helped Bush win in 2000)
So, now we have a good ole fashion 3 party race. If you blindfolded me I would say I was living in Germany or some place with a true multi-party system. Nader is back in town and he is fighting mad…And I’m glad. He came out of the closet on NBC’s Sunday morning public affairs show, Meet The Press.
Now let’s get one thing straight – HE DID NOT CAUSE AL GORE TO LOSE THE ELECTION IN 2000! Bush and his cronies used every crooked maneuver in the book to steal that election fare and square. But moreover, Al Gore handed the Republican Governor from Texas the election on a silver platter. I remember it as if it were yesterday…
Al Gore was answering some questions and one of the media people on hand asked him whether or not he would be seeking the assistance of then President, Bill Clinton. This is where he lost the election because instead a definitive, “yes, of course,” he answered with some roundabout-ambiguous statement that only signaled he was trying to separate himself from Clinton (President Clinton was dealing with a possible distraction regarding the whole Monica Lewinsky ordeal). I remember turning to my mother and telling her, “That’s it. Al’s gonna lose.” And I was right (you can contact my mother for further details). I almost threw something at the T.V set. I wanted to strangle all of his closest advisors and bury them 6 feet under because they didn’t earn their paycheck that day
…Even though the scandal was a PR mess for Bill Clinton and his cabinet, they still enjoyed a high approval rating amongst the general U.S. American public. Not to mention the country was enjoying successful economic times. Regardless of who was responsible for it, Bill Clinton presided over a prosperous end to the millennium. Gore lost that sight, and instead ostracized the one person he shouldn’t have. If Al Gore spoke with half the fire and passion, back then, as he does now, he would have won. If he had gotten fired up, and acknowledged Bill Clinton as his confidant, events would have been different. So let’s be frank, Al Gore lost the election. Ralph Nader didn’t help the Republicans with anything.

Uhhh…lemme see… terrorists from Saudi Arabia flew planes into buildings on the direction of another Saudi in Afghanistan…. soooo….OBVIOUSLY… we should invade Iraq.
Yep! Lemme have some more of that logic…. Maybe Bush can run as Vice-President…. Is that allowed? Because he and his staff are real geniuses.
Remember folks, the ONLY reason Bush got the White House was because of Nader. Thus Nader can be blamed for: The Iraq War, The economy, The price of oil, and possibly even 9-11.(one can only guess on that last one) McCain is just as nutty as Bush but smarter which makes him more dangerous.

I’m Non-partisan, and I’m going to vote for Barack, but let’s face it, Democrats in 2000 lost the will the win. Harsh? Yes. True? Absolutely.
The reason the Republicans won was because the Republican base was unified. For some reason they get it the idea of supporting a candidate. They back their candidates till the death… Until now that is. Some are changing over to the Dems because of Barack – reason 1 to vote for Obama.
I actually like Al Gore (although I didn’t vote for him in 2000), but the truth is he lost that election himself. He shakes Bill Clinton’s hand in public and let’s Billy C. endorse him with all the pomp and circumstance that goes with it, no Bush White House. Simple as that. If the Gore didn’t have the foresight to see that then I question whether he should have been in the race.
I will go along with one point – Nader is a thorn. I see that now. He’s a bit of a glory hound I think. If he really means all the stuff on his website then why do we see him on TV only every 4 years? Why not get out there and do some real organizing, on daily basis? I’m not supporting Nader for President, as I did back in 2000, but I don’t want to hear that he took the election away from the Dems. After the first round of Clinton years we had surpluses, jobs, and the World at large loved us. Why couldn’t the Democrats maintain the White House? Ralph Nader… You must be kidding.
In the absence of true leadership people will go to the next loudest option. Nader was that option, and Bush already had his base supporters. The Democrats lost the will to win thus losing the election. Luckily the Dems have candidates that are more charismatic and dynamic, so I can’t see the Republicans winning. And if Nader “steals” votes then something is seriously wrong with this country. Nader said it himself on Meet The Press (I paraphrase) – If the Democrats can’t beat McCain by a landslide then they should just pack up the party and do something else. He’s right.
VOTE BARACK!!!!

I can only imagine you are joking, but let me take it a step further and indulge that question. What if he were to be the Secretary of the Interior, or something like that. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

LOL….. I started out with Billary just because they stand a better chance of wiping up some of the Bush that’s spilled all over the place. But she got so whiny and the cheap shots started annoying me… so now it’s Barrack-me-Amadeus…..at least he has remained solid and is really beginning to seem quite presidential.
Hahaha….secretary of the interior….he would complain that the Grand Canyon was too small to hold his ego.
The Grand Canyon bit is a good one – “What’s big, deep, took millions of years to create, and still can’t hold Ralph Nader’s ego….? The Grand Canyon of course. We’re trying to see if one of those Mars craters does a better job.”
What do you think of the recent results in Texas and Ohio? Barack did win Vermont, and I think could put together another string going into Pennsylvania. Things just got very interesting for the Dems. My next article is going to be all about this.
I’m not a Republican I’m telling you now, watch out! I can’t believe the American people would vote another Republican in office, not after the past 8 years, but if the Dems go critical the people won’t have a choice (unless they vote for Nader). Look at Bush, he is going to fully endorse McCain, eventhough they really battled it out in 2000, and after McCain criticized the handling/direction of the war. The Republicans know how to unite. Bottomline. After all is said and done the Dems need to unite and move as one candidate. If they don’t then it’s over for them, again. Sorry to say that.
Get as many people out to vote as possible.
